Wild Gunman

Your palm sweats as you grip your Zapper light gun. The Outlaw's eyes flash. He yells "Fire!" And suddenly you're in the middle of a Wild West shootout! Get the Outlaw before he gets you, and you'll win a reward! But watch out -- the more you win the tougher it becomes, because this gunman has some very nasty friends. You can take on one outlaw, two outlaws -- or the whole wild gang. Are you up to the action? Because it's fast and furious in this quick-on-the-trigger Nintendo Light Gun game!

In Wild Gunman, you face off against a single gunman. When his eyes flash and he says "Fire", he will draw his gun. Shoot before he does! As you progress, faster gunmen will appear.

When a gunman walks out to face you, you will see the allotted time you have to shoot. When he draws, a timer will begin counting down to that time. If he shoots first, you will lose.

If you have an itchy trigger finger and shoot before he draws, you will be penalized with a Foul and also lose the wave. Watch closely and don't jump the gun!

Game B plays exactly the except there will be 2 gunmen. In this expert mode, it helps to shoot the faster gunman first. Sometimes only one will say "Fire" — be sure to only shoot that target!

In Game C, an entire gang of gunmen will appear one after another from the windows and doors of the saloon. Shoot before they do! Armed with 15 bullets, you will have to beat 10 of them to clear a wave.

Wild Gunman

As a revision of one of the earliest arcade games, Wild Gunman is a very straight-forward shooting game similar to Duck Hunt and Hogan's Alley. Because it's so important to shoot only when your opponent draws his gun, the character graphics are large enough to show this properly, making sure you never have to guess. There is a good balance in difficulty between game modes, with Game A designed to show beginners the ropes while the other two are designed more for experts.

A notable feature of Wild Gunman is the ability to see how long it will take for your opponent to shoot. This indicator is especially important when facing 2 opponents in Game B — you definitely want to shoot the faster one first. Also in Game B, there will be times where you will have to avoid shooting a gunman that doesn't draw, similar to Hogan's Alley where you need to identify your target before firing. Game C is the ultimate test of your abilities, pitting you against an entire gang of 10 gunmen appearing at random times from five different possible locations on the building. It won't keep you occupied all day, but if you are looking for a very pure gallery-style shooter, give Wild Gunman a shot.
